Our Story

About OverlandList

A premium marketplace and editorial publication for the U.S. overland community — admin-reviewed listings, photography-forward, and spec-rich.

Our Mission

A premium marketplace for people who take their rigs seriously.

Off-road vehicle with rooftop tent in a mountain landscape

OverlandList exists because the overland community deserves better than generic classifieds. When you're looking for a $90,000 Sprinter build or a purpose-spec'd expedition truck, you need specs — real ones. Not a paragraph of prose and three blurry iPhone photos.

Every listing on OverlandList is admin-reviewed before it goes live. We check for completeness, photo quality, and listing accuracy. We require spec depth: drivetrain, electrical, water system, build components, mileage, and conversion age. That standard protects buyers and gives sellers a stage that reflects the actual value of their rig.

Alongside the marketplace, we publish the Journal — original editorial covering the builds, trails, gear, and stories that define the overland lifestyle. Not press releases. Not reposts. Real reporting, in depth, from people who live this.

OverlandList is a U.S.-based platform. All listings are in USD. All sellers are individually reviewed. There are no auto-approved submissions and no bots in the buyer pool.

Admin-reviewed listings — every submission, before it goes live
Photography-forward — quality photos required, not optional
Spec-rich — real build data buyers need to make decisions
U.S.-only marketplace — all listings in USD, seller-verified
Featured placements available — boost visibility to serious buyers

The Platform

A marketplace built for the overland community

OverlandList lists overland vehicles, camper vans, expedition trucks, Jeeps, trailers, truck campers, and related gear and parts. Every listing carries the spec depth serious buyers need — and every submission is reviewed before it goes live.

An editorial publication on the same platform

The Journal covers overland builds, trail reports, gear roundups, brand features, and the stories behind the rigs. It isn't a press-release aggregator — it's original reporting, in depth, written for enthusiasts.

Free listings, featured placements for visibility

Listings on OverlandList go through a free submission and admin review process. Sellers who want priority placement — top of search results and editorial-adjacent positioning — can request a featured listing.

Overland buyers read specs. They look at photos for 10 minutes before they call. We built a marketplace that respects that.
